BADS_lab is a nomadic lab at the edges of art, research, and social practice. In 2026, we convene artists, technologists, and land stewards to prototype maroon infrastructures: community-built ways of communicating and cultivating that invite people to play with them now and are resilient when centralized systems fail.

There are three tracks:

• SIGNALS: hyperlocal radio + mesh networks + playable media

• SOILS: orphaned urban land → pocket gardens → living corridors

• SOUL: animating Signals and Soils through art, performance, games, rituals

Ways to join: Chicago builds (hands-on), São Paulo exchange (targeted), Dar gathering (8–12 people), or contribute a PROCESS GERM (a small reusable method, game, ritual) from anywhere.
